You are the one club who has gained from all this even with paying all that money out. That one season has changed the whole future for our club.'
Lovely!
Not read all the thread but has anyone mentioned that one of the REAL reasons they were relegated was because Fulham were in just as much of a relegation battle as anyone and had to beat Liverpool at home, which they did after Liverpool fielded 9 players who normally didn't get into the side because they were saving their first team for an important cup game?

Yes it was greatly down to the same old prejudice against us not knowing our place. Meanwhile agents of Tottenham can steal phone records yet that club itself can walk away without a Blemish on its character apparently. Again where is this perceived contract of mutual respect there then.

Yes I'm not sure how stupid you have to be to let it come down voluntarily to 1 old doddering judge with no knowledge of football letting a biased hack advise him how many points Tevez gained us even though stats gave a completely different result.
Nor do I understand why QPR got away with a similar rule break after the rules had been clarified and strengthened in light of our own case, when even a former FA chief exec the evening before the decision said that it was a concrete breach and QPR were bound to have a big points deduction.
Nor do I understand why not a soul thereafter made even a tweet of complaint about the total inequity of the decision as compared to our own.
And of course there is the equally illegal (under the same rule we breached furthermore) prevention of loaned players playing against their own clubs, which Fulham in particular benefited from, and then the subsequent changing of the rules to effectively make it backwardly legal. Yep we really got away with it didn't we.

At the time of the punishment everyone was satisfied as because we were thought to be certainly relegated a points deduction was regarded as no real deterrent. Those clubs were all very happy with the fine & if we'd appealed and asked for a points deduction they would have gone mental ... & then we started winning. As said the Steve Kabba case was swept under the carpet & the Faurlin case at QPR likewise. Though to be honest I blame our own incompetence & stupidity for any cost we had. Even in regards to agreeing to going to arbitration. Why on earth did we just not say we have no disagreement that needs arbitration & invite them to sue us. Which I believe they would have been prevented from doing under league rules.

With the Tevez business that season, I liked the way that we were apparently too small a club to land Tevez, then conveniently we'd get off without punishment, what with being a big club.
Funny old game.
